Heading into the 2023 NFL regular season, the AFC East was expected to be one of the toughest divisions in the league, with each team potentially being a force to be reckoned with.

Entering Week 18, the Miami Dolphins are the only team in the division that has clinched a playoff berth, with two others, the New England Patriots and New York Jets, already being eliminated from playoff contention.

That leaves the Buffalo Bills in limbo, with superstar quarterback Josh Allen and company still in the running to clinch a playoff spot, and they can do that by simply beating the division-rival Dolphins, which would result in the team winning the AFC East crown.

With the AFC East division title on the line in Week 18 in Miami, there will be a lot of pressure on the Bills to come out on top against the Dolphins and prove they belong in the postseason while being a legitimate threat in the conference.

Former NFL player LeSean McCoy of FOX Sports argues that the pressure is solely on Allen to get the job done for the Bills this weekend via Speak On FS1.

“I gotta go with Josh Allen having the pressure on him,” McCoy said.

Fortunately for the Bills, there are a few other scenarios where the team will be playoff-bound, with Buffalo punching their ticket to the playoffs if the Jacksonville Jaguars or Pittsburgh Steelers lose in their regular-season finales.

Buffalo can also make the postseason if this game with the Dolphins results in a tie or if there’s a tie between the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts.

Even though there’s still a good chance the Bills get into the playoffs even without a win, the easiest path is getting the best of the Dolphins, with Allen having a shot at making a statement ahead of the postseason.
