Skip Bayless Has A Harsh Message For Aaron Rodgers

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is still poking fun at the Chicago Bears despite leaving the NFC North.

So with a playoff spot on the line for the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers took a moment to remind everyone how good his old team has been against their division rival.

However, Rodgers spoke as if he was still on the Packers by referring to the team as “we” – perhaps either on accident or in jest.

That didn’t sit right with Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless, who was quick to correct Rodgers’ mistake and remind him that the Packers are no longer Rodgers’ team.

“You’re no longer a ‘we.’ This is Jordan Love’s team,” Bayless said. “You no longer play for the Packers. Nor were you ever as loved in the locker room as Jordan is already loved in that locker room.”

Those are harsh words by Bayless for Rodgers, who led the Packers to the playoffs in 12 of his 18 years in Green Bay and won a Super Bowl with them in 2010-11.

But Bayless is perhaps referring to what went down on this team over the past few years when Rodgers complained about the state of the roster and would specifically request players to be added – much like he’s done in New York since being traded there this past offseason.

Bayless’ assertion is that the team has coalesced around Love quicker and more tightly than it did with Rodgers despite his numerous personal accolades during his tenure in Green Bay.

However, Love still needs to win this weekend to push the Packers to the playoffs, something Rodgers failed to do with Green Bay a year ago.
