The New Orleans Pelicans enjoyed a 124-116 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.

It was yet another good showing for the Pelicans, who now have a 10-9 record.

After the game, Zion Williamson spoke to the press about just how far this team can go.

“I don’t think we have a ceiling. I say it all the time: we just need to become elite with the small nuances of the game,” Williamson said, according to a video shared by Pelicans Film Room.

If Williamson continues to play as he did on Wednesday night, there really might not be a ceiling for the Pelicans.

He posted 33 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists during the game and was nearly perfect from the floor, hitting 11-of-12.

The team also welcomed back CJ McCollum, who had been gone for several weeks due to a collapsed lung.

He chipped in with a strong 20 points in his return.

Jonas Valanciunas took advantage of the absence of Joel Embiid and posted 19 points and 7 rebounds and Brandon Ingram posted 15 points and 6 assists.

All in all, the entire team got in on the action and contributed to the win.

As great as the victory was, Williamson was right when he said that they will need to get better at certain aspects of the game, like giving up leads.

They held a large advantage late in the game but the 76ers slowly minimized the margin and the Pelicans started to sweat it.

They were even forced to re-insert their starting lineup to close things out, which did the trick and kept the Sixers away from victory.

Williamson is happy with how his group is doing but he’s not done pushing himself and his teammates.
