US Republican Party Chooses Trump’s Handpicked Team to Lead It

Houston, Texas – The Republican National Committee (RNC) has made a historic decision. In a vote held in Houston, Texas on Friday, the RNC voted to install Donald Trump’s handpicked leadership team, marking a significant step towards his potential third term as President of the United States.

Michael Whatley, a North Carolina Republican, was elected as the new national chairman of the RNC, while Lara Trump, the former president’s daughter-in-law, was voted in as co-chair. This move solidifies Trump’s control over the national party, with his loyalists now holding key positions in the party’s leadership.

Whatley, who has previously endorsed Trump’s false theories of voter fraud, expressed his commitment to working tirelessly every day to elect Trump as the 47th President of the United States. He promised to lead the RNC as the vanguard of a movement dedicated to securing Trump’s victory in the next presidential election.

Replacing longtime chair Ronna McDaniel, Whatley will now hold the top title in the RNC. However, he will be surrounded by Trump’s closest allies, including Lara Trump, who is expected to focus on fundraising and media appearances. The functional head of the RNC will be Chris LaCivita, who will take on the role of chief of staff while maintaining his position as one of Trump’s top advisers.

With Trump’s blessing, LaCivita has promised to bring about sweeping changes and staffing moves at all levels of the RNC. This is to ensure that the party operates seamlessly as an extension of the Trump campaign. In an interview, LaCivita addressed concerns about the RNC using party funds to pay for Trump’s mounting legal bills. He clarified that not a single penny of the RNC’s money, or even the campaign’s money, will go towards Trump’s legal fees. Instead, Trump’s legal bills are being covered by his separate political entity, Save America.

This assurance comes after some speculation that the RNC would use donor money to pay for Trump’s legal expenses. However, RNC members have expressed skepticism, with some proposing a nonbinding resolution to explicitly state that party funds could not be used for Trump’s legal bills. Despite this, the resolution did not receive enough support from RNC members.

The new leadership team’s appointment also raises questions about the RNC’s stance on voter fraud and Trump’s unfounded claims about the 2020 election. Whatley, who is an attorney, has previously stated that Biden was legitimately elected and won the majority of electoral college votes. However, he has also entertained the idea of there being “massive fraud” in the election. He has also made election integrity a top priority for his state party.

Meanwhile, Lara Trump has written a letter to members of the RNC, stating her intentions as co-chair. She plans to focus on battleground states, getting out the vote in close races, and reviewing the RNC’s finances to cut unnecessary spending. She also emphasized the need to ensure the security of future elections, echoing her father-in-law’s concerns.

As the party gears up for the upcoming presidential election, Lara Trump declared their main goal: to win “bigly.” With the new leadership team in place, the RNC is ready to work towards securing a Trump victory in the next presidential race.

This decision by the RNC solidifies Trump’s position as the dominant force in the Republican Party and sets the stage for a potentially historic third term as President. With his handpicked team leading the party, Trump’s influence will continue to shape the direction of the GOP and its future.
