Sheinbaum advocates for the continuation of the Fourth Transformation to improve workers’ circumstances.

laudia Sheinbaum Pardo, National Coordinator for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, emphasized the vital role of workers’ prosperity in enhancing the overall well-being of the nation and its businesses during the XV Ordinary National Congress of the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM).

At the congress, Sheinbaum formalized a partnership with CATEM as part of a broader initiative to integrate various sectors into Mexico’s public life transformation. She highlighted the current positive developments in the country and stressed the importance of advancing labor rights while avoiding regression to previous conditions. She underscored the shared goal of preventing a return to corruption and privileges, and emphasized the need to continue with the Fourth Transformation.

During the inauguration of the Labor Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation at CATEM, Sheinbaum reaffirmed her commitment to defending workers’ rights and wages and highlighted the significance of collaboration with entrepreneurs. “Our shared objective is to prevent a return to past corruption and privileges and to advance the Fourth Transformation of Mexico’s public life,” she asserted.

“I am committed to upholding workers’ wages and benefits. Our goal is to move forward together for the benefit of both workers and our country,” she added.

Pedro Haces Barba, senator and general secretary of CATEM, praised the progress made in the collaboration between the working class and the 4T government, including increases in the minimum wage and the elimination of subcontracting. “We are in crucial times, so we reaffirm our commitment to the values of the Fourth Transformation from this congress,” Haces Barba stated.

Senator Ricardo Monreal also participated, emphasizing the necessity of maintaining a positive relationship between workers and the government to continue expanding labor rights. “The pact and alliance must be formed now, with Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo,” Monreal concluded at the XV National Congress of CATEM.
