Sheinbaum adds CATEM to the transformation initiative

Claudia Sheinbaum, the National Coordinator of the Transformation, has integrated the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM) into her initiative, aiming to establish the CATEM Labor Defense Committees for the Fourth Transformation.

“I am delighted to officially announce this significant coalition with the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico,” she said.

At the Arena Ciudad de México, the Morena party leader inaugurated over 10,000 members who will form the CATEM Labor Defense Committees for the Fourth Transformation, highlighting that the committees’ mission is to ensure workers have a dignified life.

Pedro Haces Barba, a Senator and Secretary General of CATEM, outlined the labor advancements achieved under the Fourth Transformation, including salary increases, extended vacation days, and the abolition of outsourcing.

“We are at a pivotal moment, which is why, at this congress, we reaffirm our dedication to the values of the Fourth Transformation, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum,” he remarked.

Senator Ricardo Monreal also stressed the need to maintain a strong relationship between workers and the government, noting that this will create more opportunities for expanding labor rights. Pedro Haces Barba Pedro Haces Barba
