MSNBC Contributor Goes Full Drama Queen Over Colbert Cancelation: ‘Really Scary’ (VIDEO)

It seems that in today’s political climate, the divide between the left and the right has become increasingly evident. We see it in our news, our social media feeds, and even in our everyday conversations. But what is most striking is the distinct difference in how each side perceives the world around them. It’s almost as if they are living in an alternate universe – one where their beliefs and values are so far removed from reality that it’s almost comical.

A recent example of this can be seen in the reactions to The Late Show host Stephen Colbert’s decision to cancel a segment mocking President Trump. While most people would view this as a sensible move in the current divisive climate, MSNBC contributor Elise Jordan took it to a whole new level by going full drama queen.

In a segment on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Jordan expressed her outrage and fear over Colbert’s decision, even calling it “really scary.” She seemed to suggest that Colbert’s cancellation was one more example of the “chilling effect” that the Trump administration was having on free speech.

Now, I’m not one to shy away from a good dose of drama, but to say that a late night talk show host’s decision to cancel a segment is “really scary” is just absurd. It’s this kind of exaggerated reaction that makes it clear that some people on the left are completely disconnected from reality. And it’s not just Jordan – there are countless other examples of this type of mentality.

Take, for instance, the outrage over Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement. While this move was met with derision and condemnation from the left, the reality is that the agreement was deeply flawed and would have had little impact on actual emission reductions. But in their alternate universe, the left truly believes that this withdrawal marks the end of the world.

Or consider the reaction to Trump’s travel ban. In the eyes of the left, this was a racist and discriminatory move that went against American values. In reality, the ban was a temporary measure aimed at improving national security, and it was eventually revised to exclude certain countries and provide exemptions for certain groups. But in their alternate universe, the left saw this as a direct attack on their values and way of life.

The list goes on and on. From the constant cries of “fake news” to the obsession with Russian interference in the election, the left seems to be living in a constant state of outrage and disbelief. And while it’s easy to dismiss these reactions as simply being partisan politics, it’s worth asking: why are they so quick to jump to extreme conclusions and exaggerations?

One possible explanation is that the left has been so heavily influenced by their own echo chambers that they have lost touch with reality. They surround themselves with like-minded individuals and consume news that reinforces their beliefs, without ever taking the time to consider alternative viewpoints or fact-check information. This creates an echo chamber where their own opinions and biases are constantly affirmed, leading them further and further away from reality.

Another factor at play could be the constant media sensationalism and hyperbole. It seems that every news story these days is blown out of proportion, with each side trying to outdo the other in terms of outrage and shock value. This constant barrage of exaggerated news can certainly contribute to the feeling that we are living in a dystopian reality.

But regardless of the reason, it’s clear that the left’s perception of the world is deeply skewed. And while we can’t expect everyone to have the same viewpoints or beliefs, there needs to be a level of rationality and critical thinking in order to have productive discussions and move forward as a society.

So, to the left, I urge you to take a step back from your echo chamber and consider that there may be another side to the story. Instead of living in an alternate universe, let’s come back to reality and have meaningful conversations and debates based on facts and evidence. Let’s not allow ourselves to be blinded by our own biases and ideologies, and instead, let’s strive for a better understanding of the world around us.
