Remembering Bobby Powell: Marine, J6er, and Journalist Who Fought to Tell the “Whole Truth”
Bobby Powell was a man of many titles – a Marine, a J6er, and a journalist. But above all, he was a fighter. A fighter for truth, justice, and the American way. He dedicated his life to serving his country and fighting for what he believed in, and his legacy continues to inspire us today.
Born on September 8th, 1976, in Jacksonville, Florida, Bobby always had a strong sense of duty and patriotism. He joined the United States Marine Corps at the young age of 18 and served for four years, including a deployment to the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm. His time in the Marines instilled in him a deep love for his country and a strong sense of honor and integrity.
After his service in the Marines, Bobby pursued a career in journalism, driven by his passion for seeking the truth and holding those in power accountable. He worked for various news outlets, including the popular conservative news site, The Gateway Pundit. Bobby quickly gained a reputation for his fearless reporting and his commitment to uncovering the “whole truth” behind the stories he covered.
But Bobby’s journey as a journalist was not an easy one. He faced numerous challenges and obstacles, including censorship and attacks from those who sought to silence him. But Bobby never backed down. He continued to fight for the truth, even when it was unpopular or went against the mainstream narrative.
One of Bobby’s most significant contributions as a journalist was his coverage of the Benghazi attacks in 2012. He was one of the first reporters to question the official narrative and dig deeper into what really happened that tragic night. His reporting shed light on the failures of the Obama administration and the cover-up that followed. Bobby’s dedication to uncovering the truth about Benghazi earned him the respect and admiration of many, including his colleagues at The Gateway Pundit.
Bobby’s time at The Gateway Pundit was cut short when he tragically passed away on January 3rd, 2018, at the young age of 41. His sudden and unexpected death shocked and saddened all who knew him. But his legacy lives on through his work and the impact he had on those around him.
