Tyler Kolek Reveals What He Wants To Prove This Season

Tyler Kolek of the New York Knicks is gearing up for his second season in the NBA and he has his sights set on making it even better than his first. After being drafted by the Knicks in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft, Kolek quickly made a name for himself as a promising young talent. Now, as he prepares for his second season, he is determined to prove that he belongs among the best players in the league.

In a recent interview with Ian Begley of The Cold Wire, Kolek opened up about his goals for the upcoming season and what he wants to prove to himself and the rest of the league.

“I know I’m playing for a team with a lot of options, but I want to be one of the best ones,” Kolek said confidently. “I want to show everyone that I have what it takes to be a top player in this league.”

Kolek’s rookie season with the Knicks was a solid one, with him averaging 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. But he is not content with those numbers and is determined to take his game to the next level.

“I’ve been working hard this off-season, both physically and mentally,” Kolek shared. “I want to be a more well-rounded player and contribute in all aspects of the game. I want to be a leader on the court and help my team win games.”

The 6’5” shooting guard has been putting in extra hours in the gym and working on his skills to improve his game. He has been focusing on his shooting, ball-handling, and defense, all of which he believes will make him a more valuable asset to the team.

But Kolek’s determination and drive to be the best go beyond just his individual performance. He is also focused on helping the Knicks have a successful season and make it to the playoffs.

“We have a great team and a great group of guys,” Kolek said. “I want to do everything I can to help us reach our goals and make it to the playoffs. That’s what we’re all working towards and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Kolek’s positive attitude and determination have not gone unnoticed by his teammates and coaches. They have all been impressed by his work ethic and are confident that he will have a breakout season.

“Tyler is a hard worker and a great teammate,” Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau said. “He has a lot of potential and I have no doubt that he will continue to improve and make a big impact on our team this season.”

As Kolek heads into his second season, he is determined to prove that he belongs among the best players in the league. He is ready to work hard, lead by example, and help his team achieve success. With his positive attitude and determination, there is no doubt that he will make a significant impact on the New York Knicks this season.
