Tyler Kolek of the New York Knicks is gearing up for his second season in the NBA and he has his sights set on making it even better than his first. “I know I’m playing for a team with a lot of options, but I want to be one of the best ones,” Kolek said confidently. “I want to show everyone that I have what it takes to be a top player in this league.”
Kolek’s rookie season with the Knicks was a solid one, with him averaging 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. But he is not content with those numbers and is determined to take his game to the next level.
“I’ve been working hard this off-season, both physically and mentally,” Kolek shared. “I want to be a more well-rounded player and contribute in all aspects of the game. I want to be a leader on the court and help my team win games.”
The 6’5” shooting guard has been putting in extra hours in the gym and working on his skills to improve his game. He has been focusing on his shooting, ball-handling, and defense, all of which he believes will make him a more valuable asset to the team.
But Kolek’s determination and drive to be the best go beyond just his individual performance. He is also focused on helping the Knicks have a successful season and make it to the playoffs.
“We have a great team and a great group of guys,” Kolek said. “I want to do everything I can to help us reach our goals and make it to the playoffs. That’s what we’re all working towards and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
