Against all odds, the Indianapolis Colts are still fighting to stay alive in the playoff race.
With that in mind, they’ve announced they elevated LB Liam Anderson and WR Ethan Fernea from their practice squad to their active roster ahead of their matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Colts have overcome Anthony Richardson’s season-ending injury, but just like their AFC South colleagues, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans, they haven’t been able to make the most of their respective losses to gain more ground in this postseason race.

Shane Steichen has done a solid job in his first year in charge of the team, and not many people expected them to still be in the playoff picture at this point in the season, especially after they lost their rookie QB just a handful of weeks into the season.
Jonathan Taylor has also been on and off the field with multiple ailments, which only makes their 8-7 record all the more remarkable.
And while you never know what version of Gardner Minshew you’re going to get every single time he sets foot on the field, he also deserves plenty of credit for keeping the ship afloat against all odds.
The Colts need to win out and hope that their divisional rivals slip.
But even if they fail to get the job done this season, they proved that they could be a force to be reckoned with, and the new-look AFC South promises to be very exciting for years to come.
