Manchester Pride is returning in four-day celebration this August

The LGBTQ+ community has always been a vibrant and resilient group, constantly striving for equality and acceptance. And this August Bank Holiday Weekend, we have even more reason to celebrate as the four-day LGBTQ+ celebration returns with a bang!

This annual event, which has become a staple in the LGBTQ+ calendar, promises to be bigger and better than ever before. With a jam-packed schedule of events, including the parade, the Village party, and the vigil, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and be a part of.

The highlight of the weekend will undoubtedly be the colorful and lively parade, which will wind its way through the streets of our city. This year’s theme is “Proud and United,” and it’s a fitting tribute to the unity and strength of our community. The parade will be a spectacular display of love, pride, and diversity, with floats, music, and costumes that will leave you in awe. So, make sure to mark your calendars and come out to show your support and celebrate with us.

But the festivities don’t end there. The Village party, held in the heart of our city, will be a lively and inclusive celebration of our community. With live music, delicious food, and a variety of vendors, it’s the perfect place to mingle and connect with like-minded individuals. This year, the Village party will also feature a range of activities and workshops, promoting inclusivity and education. So, whether you’re looking to dance the night away or learn something new, the Village party has got you covered.

In addition to the parade and the Village party, the weekend will also include a vigil to honor and remember those who have fought for LGBTQ+ rights and those who have lost their lives due to discrimination and hate. The vigil is a poignant and emotional event, bringing the community together to reflect on our past and look towards a brighter future. It’s a reminder that our fight for equality is far from over, and we must continue to stand together and support one another.

The LGBTQ+ celebration over the August Bank Holiday Weekend is not just about having a good time; it’s about celebrating our community and all that we have achieved. It’s a time to come together, to show our pride, and to inspire others to do the same. It’s a powerful and uplifting experience that leaves a lasting impact on everyone involved.

But this celebration is not just for the LGBTQ+ community; it’s for everyone. It’s an opportunity for allies and supporters to join us in our fight for equality and acceptance. It’s a chance for the wider community to show their love and support for the LGBTQ+ community, and to stand in solidarity with us.

So, don’t miss out on this incredible four-day celebration. Come and be a part of something special, something that celebrates love, diversity, and unity. Let’s make this August Bank Holiday Weekend one to remember and show the world that we are proud and united. See you there!
