Things have not gotten off to an excellent start for the Detroit Pistons this season.

The Pistons have a 2-26 record, the worst in the NBA.

This team has been unable to figure things out for whatever reason, as they have lost their last 25 games.

A streak of this magnitude could bring down a team’s spirits, causing them to be frustrated with themselves and their teammates.

However, according to comments shared via the NBA on ESPN, Cade Cunningham remained calm after this game.

Cunningham said, “We’re not 2-26 bad,” adding, “So yes, I think we can turn it around.”

Cunningham seems to believe this is just a blip in the road for the Pistons and that they’ll be able to get back on track.

What getting back on track or turning things around looks like remains to be seen.

While it’s not official, the Pistons are effectively out of the playoff race pending a miraculous turnaround over the next several months.

Being nearly eliminated from the playoffs in December is not what an NBA franchise strives for, which could be causing contention in the locker room.

Cunningham didn’t let on to any problems in the locker room, but that could be to save face in the public eye.

The Pistons will have to make many changes moving forward if they want any chances of long-term success.

If they continue on this trajectory, they will have an excellent opportunity for the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, a chance to start fresh with someone new.
