Bolton primary school brings back class bubbles and cancels events amid pupil infection spike

SS Osmund & Andrew’s Primary School in Bolton has been advised to limit large gatherings and mixing in order to ensure the safety and well-being of its students and staff.

The school, like many others across the country, has been facing the challenges brought about by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As the number of cases continues to rise, it has become increasingly important for schools to take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.

In light of this, the school has been advised by health authorities to limit large gatherings and mixing among students. This means that events such as assemblies, sports days, and other group activities will be put on hold for the time being.

While this may come as a disappointment to some, it is important to remember that these measures are being taken for the safety of everyone in the school community. The health and well-being of our students, staff, and their families are our top priority.

The school has already implemented various safety measures, such as regular hand washing, sanitizing of classrooms and common areas, and wearing of masks. These measures have proven to be effective in preventing the spread of the virus within the school premises.

However, with the recent rise in cases in the local area, it is crucial for the school to take additional precautions. Limiting large gatherings and mixing will help reduce the risk of transmission and ensure that the school remains a safe and healthy environment for all.

We understand that this may be a difficult adjustment for our students, especially after months of being away from their friends and classmates. But we assure you that the school will continue to provide a supportive and nurturing learning environment, even with these limitations in place.

We encourage our students to stay connected with their friends through virtual means and to continue to support and uplift each other during these challenging times. We also urge parents to have open and honest conversations with their children about the importance of following these guidelines for the safety of everyone.

We are confident that with the cooperation and understanding of our school community, we will be able to navigate through these challenging times and emerge stronger and more resilient.

We would like to thank our students, staff, and parents for their continued support and cooperation. Let us all work together to keep our school safe and healthy. We look forward to the day when we can all gather and celebrate together again.

In the meantime, let us stay positive and focused on our learning and growth. Together, we can overcome any obstacle and emerge stronger than ever before. Stay safe and take care.
