The Summer Arts take up residence in Lyons-la-Forêt

The arts will take up their summer quarters in Lyons-la-Forêt (Eure) at the invitation of the association Cultural actions in Vexin Normand* 100007* (ACEV).

From Saturday July 1 to Sunday July 16, 2023, the multipurpose hall Philippe Debeaupuis will welcome eight artists, as part of the Festival Les Arts d’été.

During these sixteen days of exhibition, the public is invited to immerse themselves in the universe of six painters (Patricia Dubreuil, Véronique Carpentier, Laurence Blondel, Liliane Alazard, Maryline Duputié and Patrick Minier) and two sculptors namely Stéphane Lemeur and Jacques Duputié.

Six painters

On the painting side, Patricia Dubreuil will invite you to discover the “bridge” that she wants to create “between the Normandy that I love and the colors of my (mixed) origins: West Indies, Africa, India » through his Métisse series.

Véronique Carpentier will present her dreamlike universe on different themes. “My wish is that the visitor can create his own story from what he sees on my canvas. »

Laurence Blondel, called Lo, offers an abstract painting. She experiments with mixing materials and favors encounters of colors and shapes.

Visitors can also discover the paintings of Liliane Alazard where the landscapes and monuments are sublimated.

Not to mention the works of Maryline Duputié and the landscapes and scenes of life of Patrick Minier.

Two other exhibitions in July and August

Summer Arts will continue with two other exhibitions.
– From July 17 to 23, it is the sculptor of Pont-Saint-Pierre Dominique Bachelet who will present his works. Every day from 3 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., the public will be able to see the work of this autodidact, who loves series, starts with intuition. Currently, he is bringing old sculptures up to date.
– From August 13 to 20, a new collective exhibition will be offered. The opportunity to discover more local and regional artists. The exhibition will be open this time, from August 12 to 15 then from August 18 to 20, from 3 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Two sculptors

Sculpture lovers are not forgotten. They will thus be able to admire the works of Stéphane Le Meur. The sculptor, whose walkers were notably presented to Lorleau at the Galerie Adrienne Desbiolles, began with the art of stained glass, by making stained glass slabs glass for churches. He then turned to steel sculpture, bronze with a passage in the world of design.

Visitors can also admire the works of self-taught sculptorJacques Duputié. He favors the creation of terracotta busts.

Some sculptures deal with the representation of women in the world. Busts represent the faces of typical women, sometimes damaged by time. In his most recent works, Jacques uses paintings or self-portraits of famous painters, Van Gogh, Schiele, Buffet, Corrot, Modigliani. At the same time the color appears on his works.
